Lose Weight, Gain Back Your Life

Im going to share with you a simple but very life changing technique that will change the many years of overeating, emotional eating or yoyo diets. It has changed my life and the lives of all those who have undertaken my program.

In order to move forward you need to look back. Back on the things that keep reoccurring that stop you from breaking through those overeating barriers which are: Fanatical Dieting, Emotional Eating and Conditioning (see my article 3 reason why we fail at dieting.

For those who live in the 3 reasons why we fail at dieting mode, I am going to share with you for FREE a very simple technique to overcome it. It doesnt matter whether you believe in it or not. All you have to do is do it and you will start to have changes instantaneously.

Fanatical dieters

Scientific research shows 90% of people who attempt to lose weight FAIL and how do the 90% of people who fail feellike failures, but they keep dieting anyway thinking the next diet will be the one that works. Some success, then no success and although some weight may have been lost it all gets piled back on againmaking you feel once again like a failure.

Let me make one thing quite clear. You are not stupid, dumb or lazy. Losing weight has nothing to do with will power or lack of it. So get that information out of your head.

Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is the second most proven reason for overeating, causing obesity in the world. Eating because of boredom, loneliness, being miserable, tired and a million and one other reasons none of which has anything to do with physical hunger.

Emotional eating is a nagging, get rid of the nagging and no more emotional eating.

Conditioning

Basically over a period of time of overeating you have conditioned your mind and body to be that way. No amount of dieting, will power, pills and shakes can change that.

The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change the way you think about food and your relationship with it. Its about reprogramming our mind and body again.

Solution

Emotional Freedom Technique! Im not going to go into the how tos ,where fors or history of Emotional Freedom Technique. You can go to my website for that. Basically the precept of this technique is the cause of all negative emotion is a block in the bodys energy system. Get rid of the block and you nullify the emotion.

Once again to utilize this technique you only need DO IT! You dont have to believe in it that really doesnt matter but to get the full benefits of it you do need to DO IT!

Emotional Freedom Technique works by tapping on parts of the bodys energy meridian and speaking some affirmations. No pills, No shakes, No exercise equipment, No drugs, No side effects, No money passing handsjust the technique.

Tapping

You will be using your pointer and middle fingers from either hand to do the tapping. At each meridian you will tap 7 times, give or take this method is very forgiving.

The Setup

The most important part of the technique is the setup. To do this we say an affirmation whilst tapping or rubbing a particular spot. For the purpose of this exercise I am going to show you the karate chop set up. If you have a look at your hand, palm facing you, look at the side of the hand from the top of the pinky finger down to the wrist. Just above the wrist is a flesh part where one would normally do a karate chophave you found it. If so this is the area you will tap using you pointer and middle fingers.

Okso now that we have all of that out of the way I want you to tap you karate spot for practice.

Basic Recipe - The Meridians

The meridians are as follow, try and find it on your body as I mention it. Practice a little so you become familiar with them.

1. Eye Brow this is the beginning of the eyebrow above the nose

2. Side of Eye this can be found the bone at the end of the eyebrow

3. Under Eye on the cheekbone under the eye

4. Under Nose- under the nose above the top lip

5. Chin the crevasse between the lower lip and the chin

6. Collar bone just under the collar bone

7. Armpit halfway down under the armpit

8. Thumb under the nail of the thumb

9. Pointer finger bottom side of the nail facing the thumb

10. Middle finger - bottom side of the nail facing the thumb

11. Little finger - bottom side of the nail facing the thumb

Repeat 1 to 7

The Affirmation Statements

Whilst tapping your karate spot you say an affirmation that is specific to you. Where there are blanks you fill in the reason. For the purpose of this exercise we are going to work on a particular food craving of yours. What I want you to do is go buy yourself what ever it is you craving, keeping in mind you may not want to eat it when you finish this exercise.

Before you start this exercise I want you to rate your desire to want what ever it is you have a craving for. I want you to smell it and savor the smell. I want you to have a small bite. Now on a scale from 0 10, 0 being no craving, 10 being crave it, write it down on a piece of paper for later reference.

The Statement

Whilst tapping your karate spot say the following affirmation as loud as you possibly can, if you cant say it out loud, say it loud in your mind. Repeat the affirmation and tapping 3 times.

Even though I have a craving for I deeply and completely accept myself Repeat 2 more times

Now follow the Basic Recipe, whilst tapping at each meridian say craving for .

Even though I still have a craving for I deeply and completely accept myself

When you finish rate yourself from 0 10 again and write it down. You should notice a shift in your desire to eat what ever it is you desire, even to the point it no longer taste the same to you. If you havent reached a 0, repeat this exercise again.

A simple example is a 10 second sprint, followed by a minute of light jogging, and then repeating the sequence for several minutes. No other form of exercise is this effective in working the body, burning calories, and blowtorching body fat like interval training!

Take it easy at first and educate yourself! Be aware of the fact that you'll end up making more progress in less time if you start slowly and make small improvements as time goes on.

Educating yourself about exercise and working out is critically important. Weight Loss and Nutrition From a Mother's View

When you have a child, as a mother, you do everything possible to make sure your child is given the best nutrition available for that child. You may do some research on breastfeeding your baby verses giving him formula. As your child grows, it's important to make sure your child is given a proper, nutritionally, well balanced meal even down to the snacks that you give your child fruits are better than cookies or chips. Suddenly, as a parent, you become your own nutritionist. You know how much food to give your child so he does not over eat.

You make sure your child has enough protein so he can build his muscles well while growing up or enough vegetables for the vitamins. Should a child come inside reaching for a snack before lunch or dinner, you tell that child it's not time for a snack or it's too late for a snack. When he pulls out too many cookies, you cut it down for a normal portion in order not to have too much sugar. As a mother, you also become a trainer, of sorts, for your child. They need to be outside because the outdoor air is good for them or they need to get some exercise to burn off some of their energy. However, even with all of this knowledge being used towards your children, somewhere in your head, it becomes lost when it comes down to taking care of yourself. As adults, we know we are eating too many foods that will pack on those regretful pounds but we do it anyway. What happens with those words, "your getting too many cookies put some back" or "it's too late for a snack"? As a mother, you portion control everything your child eats and yet, as an adult, you forget what a portion actually looks like for a normal size adult.

When you go out to eat as an adult, nutrition seems to be thrown out the window and what becomes important is "how much am I getting for my dollar being spent". Next, we jump on a scale because our clothes are beginning to fit really snug and realize we've gained way too much weight! So what do we do next? We go spend more of our hard earned money for some type of diet plan to tell us or show us what we really knew all along. What a portion size looks like again. What should we be eating for a snack? How to plan a well balanced diet in order to get adequate nutrition for our bodies. Oh, and yes, they remind us that in order to lose the weight properly, you will need to exercise at least three times per week for at least 30 minutes each time, in order to burn more calories than we are taking in during the week. It just seems so odd that when it comes down to raising our children, as mothers, we are the experts.

However, as for taking care of ourselves as adults, we have to pay someone else to be the expert when the knowledge given really isn't that much different than how we raised our children. When planning a diet, or a healthier way of living, think about what you would feed your children. Plan a well rounded balanced diet. Make sure you cover all of the basic food groups, even down to the snacks you eat and at what time of the day or night you are eating those snacks. When planning your exercise, which again, you should plan on at least doing something three times a week or more, plan something that will keep your interest. Like a child, you may enjoy playing some type of game or sport, such as tennis, racquetball or get involved in some type of team sport such as soccer, softball or football.

Even for an individual person, there are so many ways to exercise that you could do something different every day of the week, from an exercise DVD to one of the newer WII games that provide exercise. Something as simple as walking for thirty minutes can give you the exercise you need and also help give you more energy. I find that when I'm exercising, not only does it help increase my energy, but it also improves my overall attitude and outlook for the day. At any rate, bring back that motherly instinct. Think about the meals you would plan for your children. Would you let them have that snack? Also, would you tell them it's time to turn the television off and get busy doing something more productive? It is really all basic knowledge that lies within most moms. However, as moms, it just needs to be applied to ourselves.

I'm going to take the time to talk to you about intermittent fasting and it's ability to help you lose weight. A lot of people aren't sure about this and that is fine. How To Lose Weight

So you have decided the time has come for you to tackle your weight problem. You have had enough of being over-weight, it is affecting your self-esteem and is getting you down. You are however unsure as to the best way to tackle it, there are so many different forms of weight loss program and diet and you are a bit confused as to which route to take. I have had a constant battle to control my own weight over the last ten years and now believe that there are three possible options. I have now managed to sort out my own weight issues and am finally at a weight that I am happy and comfortable with. It was certainly not easy to attain, however hard work has paid off for me. Life has never been so good and my confidence has never been higher.

I had had enough of the types of diet that proved virtually impossible to stick to, I was fed up with the crash dieting which would always lead to my weight going up and down like a yo yo.

These are what I believe are the three weight loss options for people like myself:

1. Eating less food with no extra exercise

I was never a major one for exercise. The mere thought of exercising would make me sweat. I made up many an excuse, I did not go jogging as I believed it was bad for my knees!

I therefore decided that the only way that I could lose weight was by cutting down on my food intake.

2. A lot more exercise whilst eating the same amount of food

The problem with option number one is the fact that I love my food. To cut down on what I eat would make life hardly worth living. For me to lose weight, I would therefore have to start an exercise program, such as using a rowing machine or an exercise bike.

3. A lot more exercise and a lot less food

I tried option one and option two and was lets say rather unsuccessful. Others may have the discipline to make these options work, I did not.

Cut the Trans Fat, Lose Weight and Be Healthy

Tran's fat, a type of fat found in fried foods and processed foods such as cookies, crackers, and donuts, may be worse for the heart than saturated fats, according to a new study. Because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not currently require information about trans fats on food labels, many Americans do not know how much Trans fat they consume. The study found that Tran's fat reduces blood vessel function and lowers HDL ("good") cholesterol levels more than saturated fat. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), providing labelling information on Tran's fats could prevent between 2,100 and 5,600 heart disease-related deaths each year.

Tran's fats (also called Trans fatty acids) are created by hydrogenation, a process that converts liquid vegetable oils to solid fats at room temperature. This process helps preserve shelf life of foods such as cookies and crackers. Hydrogenation became popular in the 1960s after experts confirmed that animal-based saturated fats increase the risk of heart disease. Many fast food restaurants even stopped cooking French fries in saturated fat and now use hydrogenated vegetable oil (Tran's fat) instead. However, recent research shows that Tran's fats also increase the risk of heart disease.

These studies on Tran's fats was conducted by Dr. Nicole M. de Roos and her colleagues from Wageningen University in The Netherlands and published in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology. The study consisted of 29 healthy, non-smoking adults who were given a four-week diet containing 9.2% of total calories from Tran's fat. The Trans fat diet was followed by another four-week diet containing 9.2% of total calories from saturated fats. After each diet, Dr. de Roos and her colleagues analyzed the effects on blood vessel function. Poor blood vessel dilation can increase the risk for heart disease.

When the researchers compared the effects of both diets they found that the Trans fat diet reduced blood vessel function 29% more than the saturated fat diet while HDL ("good") cholesterol levels were 21% lower with the Trans fat diet than with the saturated fat diet. This led Dr. de Roos and her colleagues to conclude that Tran's fats could raise heart disease risk even more than saturated fats (though saturated fats are still bad for the heart too).
